東京に巨大白熊出現！：鹿児島「天文館むじゃき」（東京池袋・ナンジャタウン）

　池袋・ナンジャタウン内の「アイスクリームシティ」。トルコのアイスクリーム「ドンドルマ」、韓国かき氷「パッピンス」と並んでもう一つ話題になっているのが、鹿児島名物の巨大かき氷「白熊」です。
　白熊といえば、練乳がかかって、巨大で、豪華デコレーションのかき氷…と最近では東京でも有名になりつつあります。でもなかなか本場鹿児島以外では常時食べられるお店は少ないため、今回はかなり期待しておりました。ドンドルマほどではありませんでしたが、天文館むじゃきの看板（写真）の下にも、その次くらいに行列がありました。

　見るとメニューは予想外に多くて、「氷白熊」「ストロベリー白熊」「チョコレート白熊」「コーヒー白熊」各480円と、ジャンボ白熊 770円。
　ジャンボ白熊が、鹿児島で言う「普通の」白熊。ほかの480円のものは器が変わっていて、プラスチックの取っ手付きのものになっています。小さな花束みたいに、取っ手を掴んで持てる…といえば通じるでしょうか。
　ほとんどの人は480円の氷白熊を頼んでいました。これくらいなら余裕で食べられます。

　以前一回、鹿児島物産館かどこかで「白熊」を食べたことがあるのですが、そのときよりもおいしかったです。味の決め手は、甘さ控えめの練乳。
　練乳とともに、もう一つ白熊の特徴といえるのが、白熊の顔に見えるという豪華なトッピング。メロン、ミカン、プルーン、スイカ、レーズン、トロクスン豆（大きな煮豆）などなど、いろいろ載っていますが、「白熊の顔に見えるか」と聞かれると、「うーん…」って感じ。
　母があっさり食べ終えるのを見て、再度、今度は私がジャンボ白熊にチャレンジすることに。
　ジャンボ白熊を注文すると、店員さんにも気合いが入るようです。氷を盛りつけるときも、トッピングを飾るときも、目の真剣さが違います。
　作る様子を見ると、かいた氷を器に載せ、途中でトントンと軽く叩きながら形を整えつつ固め、練乳とシロップをかけ、その上からさらに氷をかけ、もう一回練乳（たぶん）をかけて、各種フルーツや煮豆をトッピングしていきます。
　ハンディタイプの白熊の倍額はしないんですが、見ていると氷の量はおそらくハンディタイプの三倍はある感じ。ハイ、と渡されたそれは、幼児の頭くらいはあります。で、でかっ。

　片手じゃとても持てないサイズです。下に両手を添えているので、大きさは想像がつくでしょうか？
　正面から見ると、レーズンとプルーンが目鼻に見え、たしかに白熊の顔に見えます。おお、かわいい！（でも巨大）
　写真撮影もそこそこに、スプーンで食べ始めました。おお、おいしいっ♪
　普通の練乳だと甘さが強くて、私は実はそんなに量を食べられないのですが、白熊の練乳（みたいなシロップ）はあっさりしていてパクパク食べられます。さすが本家、伝統のおいしさ。

　氷の山を崩し、豆やゼリーも咀嚼しつつ、シャクシャクサクサク食べ進みます。氷もきめ細かくかいてあって、サクサクととてもおいしい。おいしい…けど…。
　半分くらい食べたところで、体温が下がっていくのが自分で分かりました。味はおいしくてあきないんですが、体が冷えていって食べられないんです。メロンやスイカを口休めにかじり（ちなみにものすごくぬるく感じます）、ねばったけど、4分の3でギブアップ。寒くて寒くてそれ以上食べられませんでした。うう、くやしい…。
　あとで調べてみたら、一人分で氷を600g使ってるとか。水500g（500cc）だってそうそう飲めないのに、そりゃ食べるの大変なわけだ…。
　結局残り4分の1を母上に手伝ってもらってなんとか完食。これを昼食代わりに食べるという南国鹿児島県人はすごいなあと感心しきりなのでした。でもおいしいよ。
　ちなみに天文館むじゃきの氷白熊は、ナンジャタウンのアイスクリームシティのほか、各デパートの「鹿児島物産展」「九州物産展」などに出品していることが多いようです。見かけたら是非、大きい方の白熊にチャレンジしてみてください。しつこいようですが、鹿児島ではこれが普通サイズなんですから。

追記：あ、そうそう、土産用もあって、こちらは日本全国どこからでもお取り寄せできるようです。いつか食べてみたいなー。

凄い！凄すぎるblogや！
夏限定とか言わないでずっとやって欲しいなぁ
京都では中村軒のかき氷は食べましたか？
ここの宇治金時＆ミルク金時は最高！
追加のタレが付いてくるので味が心細くなっても大丈夫
しかも二人で行けばお互いに宇治ミルク金時に変身可！
とか思ったら宇治ミルク金時がメニューにあるなぁ
前は無かったからスペシャル感が凄く有ったんだが、、、

今年もその内行く予定！
その時はblogに報告するのでよろしくねぇ

あそこのマンゴーかき氷を食べてみたくて，今年の京都かき氷ツアーを企画したようなものだったのです…。そのうちエントリー書きますが，マンゴーかき氷も，ほかのかき氷も，そしてなぜか鰻茶漬けも（笑），とってもおいしかったです！いいなあ，大魔王さんはいつでもあのおいしい氷が食べられて…ｗ

こんにちは！TBありがとうございました。思わずリストに入れてしまいました。
やっぱりちゃんとお店で出される白熊のほうが断然美味しそうですねえ。
この黄色みがかってるところがなんともそそられてしまいます。

何を隠そうわたしは生粋の鹿児島っ子です（><)!
夏はやっぱり白熊ですよねん♪
おいしいですよー！　「天文館むじゃき」で検索してみてください。本家ですから（^^)
確か一つからでも配達可能です。その代わり、大きさはちっこいですが。
ぜひぜひ鹿児島に食べに来てくださーい♪

東京・日比谷に鹿児島の物産館があって，先日そこのレストランに白熊食べに行こうと思ったんですが，夜は提供してないらしく断念しました。
ナンジャタウンの天文館むじゃきは終わってしまったし，今年はおいしい白熊が食べられるかしら…（心配）

初めまして俺ヘッドラインさんからお邪魔してます
昼食代わりには食べませんが、普通の方々より
氷を食べる割合は多いですねー
白熊は絶対鹿児島人のDNAに組み込まれているようです
むじゃきは繁華街のど真ん中にあって
夏は吸い込まれるように入りますが
週末などは行列が出来ていますのでめげます
ちなみにトロクスン豆とありましたが
こちらでは「とろっすん」と発音します
また遊びに来マース。

鹿児島の方なんですね。しろくまの本場！
「とろっすん」と発音するんですね。知らなかった…というか，ここでしろくまを食べるまで，あのマメにそういう名前があることも知らなかったのです。（煮豆かと思っていた…）
ちなみに，しろくまというと天文館むじゃきという感じですが，ほかに鹿児島で有名なお店ってあるのでしょうか？

色々な店が白熊を出していますが
なかなか有名なというのはない気がします
むじゃきの白熊は高いんですけど
すごく郷愁をかき立てるというか
なじんだ味なんですよ
食べ慣れた味って変えられない事って
あるじゃないですか
家でも作るんですけど、あのミルクの配合が
難しいです(^^;
