栗きんとんで有名なお店：岐阜「川上屋」

食べたのは・・・2004年7月
主な値段・・・・・栗みぞれ525円（税込み）（7～9月限定）
毎年9月から発売が開始される川上屋の栗きんとんといえば有名だが、かき氷があるのは実は知らなかった。
中津川に行ったついでにちょっとお土産を・・・とお店をのぞくとなんと茶寮がある。お店の名前は「茶寮 栗乃舎」。（川上屋と聞いたほうがわかりやすいため、表記は「川上屋」とさせていただく）
お菓子屋さんの日本庭園をのぞむ一角にテーブル7つで営業している。6畳ほどの茶室もあったのでお茶席もやるのだろうか。これは未確認。
メニューは見事にアタマに「栗」のつくものが多い。栗おこわ、栗ぜんざい・・・・さすがだ。
さて、かき氷はといえばメニューは「栗みぞれ」のみ。
川上屋の栗が乗ってる！それだけでなにかありがたい気持ちすらしてくるから不思議。
ガリガリ系の氷はちょっと残念だが、甘さ控えめの抹茶がかかっていて、あずきの形がちゃんと残っているけど柔らかく上品な甘さで炊き上げられたつぶあん、そしてしっかりした歯ごたえの栗。
う～ん、これはウマイ。
氷自体の質としては特筆すべきものはないが、最後まであまり溶けなかったので最後までかき氷として楽しめる。
小皿に梅の甘煮つき。
ちなみに一緒に行った母はお抹茶とお菓子を注文。
お抹茶とお菓子は栗の入った羊羹、梅の甘煮、牛蒡の漬物。これもおいしそうだった。
