アイス最中の元祖？老舗甘味処：上野（湯島）「上野みつばち」

主な値段は…氷白玉　500円

　一年中かき氷を出す店として有名な「新宿みつばち」。上野（といっても湯島駅のすぐそば）のみつばちは、この新宿みつばちの姉妹店だそう。でも経営者が違うということで、メニューも全く違います。こちらはかき氷は夏だけ。

　行ってみるまで気付かなかったのですが、このお店には「宇治××」というメニューはありません。ということは、氷宇治金時は存在しません。トッピングで宇治、という注文も通りません（涙）。
　「氷小豆」と「氷白玉」が近そうかなあ、ということで食べてきたのが写真のかき氷、「氷白玉」500円です。500円は良心的なお値段。お店に入ったらまず食券を買って、席に着きます。

　ここのお店の供し方はちょっと面白い。氷といっしょに、白みつの入ったびんが出てきて、自分でかけて食べるようになっています。かき氷本体は黒いお盆に載っており、氷の横にゆであずきと白玉が6個。これが氷小豆だと、白玉がないのですが、氷も小豆ももっと大盛りのようです（となりのおじさんが食べていた）。氷はフワッと軽く、シロップをかけた瞬間にやわやわと溶けてしまう感じです。
　あずきはつぶあんというよりはホントに「ゆであずき」。これは新宿のみつばちとちょっと似ています。白玉は少々水分過多な印象も。氷はふんわり、白玉も柔らかく、全体的にたおやかな印象のかき氷です（なんだそれ）。ここ、黒みつはちょっとクセがある味なんですが、白みつは上品な甘さでサラッとしています。
　下町の老舗で食べる、コストパフォーマンスのいいかき氷。気取ってないのもいい感じでした。
