今年一番感動したかき氷：鎌倉「埜庵」

「かき氷」というと「頭がキーン」というイメージや「子供の頃は食べたけど、もう何年も食べてないや」という反応をされる方が多いのです。そう聞くたびに「ホントにおいしいかき氷を一回食べてみて欲しいなあ」と思ってしまいます。
では、ホントにおいしいかき氷とはなにか？
答えは単純です。
1.おいしい氷をおいしくかいてあって、
2.その上においしいシロップなり具なりがかかって（載って）いる。
これだけです。追加するなら、クーラーが効きすぎていないシチュエーションで食べられること、くらいでしょうか。
しかしこの単純なことが、実はとっても難しい。
このサイトでもたくさんのかき氷を紹介していますが、ほとんどのかき氷は1.か2.のどちらかしか満たしていません。
じゃあ、両方を満たすかき氷はどこにあるのか…？と思うあなたへ。
数は少ないですが、あります。そのうちの一軒が、ここです。
鎌倉 小町通り沿いにある「埜庵」。
写真は氷宇治金時です。
氷の外側に宇治（抹茶を溶かしたシロップ）をかけてあり、中にとろみのある粒あんが隠れています。横に添えられた瓶はミルク。好みに合わせて自分でかけます。
氷グレープフルーツ。
グレープフルーツそのものを食べているようなおいしさ！グレープフルーツの実をほぐしてミキサーにかけ、ゼラチンでトロミをつけたソースなのだそうです。
お店は、鎌倉駅から鶴岡八幡宮へ続くメインストリート、小町通り沿い。
モカソフトで有名なミカドなどといっしょに、オープンエアのフードコートのようになっている一角にあります。
このお店を切り盛りしている若い店主は、秩父「阿左美冷蔵」で、冬場一緒に天然氷を作っている方。
夏の間だけ、秩父から運んできた天然氷を使って、かき氷のお店を開いています。氷の分量が限られているので、提供できるのは一日300食まで。
氷は阿左美冷蔵と同じだけれど、かかっているシロップはオリジナルだそう。
私がこのお店を訪れたのは六月だったし、時間も遅かったので、店主にゆっくりとお話を聞くことができました。店主は本当に熱心な方で、いろいろお話している間に、氷に対する熱意をひしひしと感じました。こういう人が作るかき氷なんだもの、おいしくないはずがない…。氷についていろいろ教えていただいたので、またその話は別エントリで書こうと思います。
またその後、メニューも少し増えたそうです。ここの氷にはまって、一日二回もここでかき氷を食べたという友人のイチオシは「かまくら」。氷に和三盆糖をかけた、実にシンプルなかき氷。
残念ながら私はまだ食べていませんが、ここの氷ならおいしいことでしょう。氷そのもののおいしさが味わえそうだし。
入り口はこんな風になっています。
去年（2003年）オープンしたばかりの新しいお店ですが、ここで営業するのは九月まで。今年はそれでお店を閉め、来年はまた別のところでやろうと思っているそうです。有力候補地は丹沢（神奈川県）だそう。
「場所を変えたら教えてくださいね、絶対また行きます」と言ったら「移転先は、ネットで調べてくれたら分かるようにしておきますよ」とのことでした。
雑誌取材は受けているけれど、テレビの取材は受けていないとのこと。
今年九月までしか食べられない（かもしれない）鎌倉の絶品かき氷。
寒くなる前に、一度行ってみてください。本当においしいです。

はじめましてっ！氷宇治に今夏ハマった者です。
いろんな氷をいただけたのも、こちらのおかげです。本当に感謝・・。
ウワサに聞く、氷の名店「埜庵」。今年はムリだったけど、いつか行きたいです。
ちなみに今日、懐かしくなって「志むら」へ。ふわぁっとして抹茶も濃く、絶品ですねぇ・・。
急に涼しくなってきましたが、まだ夏の余韻として氷を楽しみたいですね。
（虎屋茶寮と初音茶屋は行っておきたい！）

本当に埜庵のかき氷には感動しました！
じりじり日差しの中（結構肩とか日焼けしつつ）
蝉とかないたりしてて、味だけでなく本当に環境も◎でした。
和三盆のカマクラと西瓜だけは絶対にまた食べに行きたいです！（仕事をサボってでも食べに行く決意‥）
